Are flushing oil and anti-sludge products incompatible?

Flushing oil and anti-sludge treatment. Manufacturers of automotive chemicals believe that such a tandem is impossible. Garage craftsmen claim the opposite. Who is right? Let’s understand together!

But first of all, let’s remember what a flushing oil is. The main purpose of flushing oil is the removal of non-washable residue from the engine, as well as washing out surface deposits formed in the engine during its operation. These deposits may include carbon deposits, soot, and other contaminants that negatively affect the operation of the engine.

The main task of the flushing oil is to remove the non-drainable residue.

The main component of flushing oils is the base oil, which can be either mineral or synthetic. As a rule, flushing oil contains the cheapest mineral oil. Emphasis in such oil is made more on detergent additives. Their main task is to maximally mix the flushing oil with the non-washable residue, as well as to retain all those contaminants that will be eroded during engine washing. And during flushing the engine with such oil should run at idle speed.

This recommendation is understandable. Flushing oils contain a minimum package of anti-wear additives. And if when the engine is running at idle speeds, they still cope with the protection, but when it is brought to speeds above 1000 rpm, their concentration may not be enough. And this will lead to increased engine wear.

And meanwhile, it is at higher revolutions that most manufacturers of cracking agents recommend to perform this operation. And this is understandable. When the engine is running at high speeds, the oil pressure is much higher, thus oil channels are better flushed. At revolutions oil is better sprayed in the crankcase and under the valve cover, washing out a large area of contaminants. With more intensive movement of the pistons, sludge clogged grooves and oil drain holes are cleaned more effectively.

It is extremely dangerous to use anti-sludge products with flushing oil.

It follows from this that it is impossible to use flushing oils for decarbonization. Nevertheless, garage masters take the risk and wash the engines of their cars with such oil.
The argument is one. Flushing oil better absorbs all those deposits that are washed away during anti-sludge process. And they can not refuse in logic. Waste oil, in which it is recommended to pour the preparations, and so quite strongly saturated with various kinds of contaminants. And after decarbonizing, the oil is saturated with them.

You can see from the samples how the oil is saturated with contaminants. The leftmost sample is fresh oil. Each subsequent one: sample after 1,000 km of driving.

As a result, the engine is washed worse, and some of the deposits may even “fall out” from the oil back on the parts, as its dirt capacity is already exhausted. As a result, it turns out that cracking in waste oil is akin to washing laundry in dirty water.

But how to be an ordinary consumer, in order to perform the most qualitative engine decaronization of his car? We also puzzled over this question and came to the conclusion that for high-quality oil system flushing and decarbonization of the engine we need a specialized service product. And we made it.

RESURS SAE30 service oil, specially formulated for highly effective flushing and decarbonization of four-stroke gasoline internal combustion engines.

Due to the increased content of anti-wear additives, engine flushing and decarbonization with RESURS SAE 30 service oil can be carried out at higher speeds.

The key advantage of RESURS SAE30 service oil is its increased “dirt capacity”, which allows to achieve deeper cleaning of the engine when using anti-sludge compositions. But the most important thing is that unlike conventional flushing oils, RESURS SAE30 contains an increased amount of anti-wear additives. This feature contributes to the possibility of flushing the engine at higher speeds, which in turn optimizes the processes of cleaning the oil system and decarbonization. It is intended both for independent engine flushing and in combination with anti-sludge products or super cleaners.

RESURS SAE30 service oil is also recommended for the first start-up of the engine after overhaul. Its use will effectively remove possible contaminants from the oil system that appeared during the assembly process. It is important to note that SAE30 oil is compatible with engine oils of other manufacturers, which makes it a universal solution for various types of engines.

Soon the novelty will be on sale, giving car owners the opportunity to appreciate it at face value and provide their cars with quality service.
